Iowa Fun!!

There are probably some people who think that Iowa and fun don't belong in the same sentence together. If you grew up there like I did, you know it's fun in IA!! Noah and I went there for a week to hang with my family before Tyler met us there for a friend's wedding that he was an usher in. It was a really great week because Chris and the girls came at the same time. The cousins had a lot of fun together, and so did the sisters. We also got to go to Sioux City to see Rae and Renae. That was awesome! There were 10 kids ages 5 and under in Rae's house! Thanks for letting us hang out at your place, Rae! We got to see little Isabella for the first time too. I didn't bring my camera, so I can't share pictures of the chaos. It was a fun time though.

Chris and I took the kids to the parks in Hull. They loved being outside.

We also spent some time in the house just hanging out and having fun.

Our parents have a little wading pool, so we took advantage of that. It was Noah's first time in a pool, and he seemed to enjoy it.

All in all, it was a great week. My parents are headed my way next week, so Noah will get to see them again soon! I don't like that we're so far away from them. It's nice we get to see each other a few times a year.

Summer Time is Here!!!

It's been a while since I've updated here. Summer has begun, and I've been busy every day! It seems like there are always errands to run, or things to clean. It makes me wonder how I get everything done during the school year. Tyler usually gives me a little "to do" list every day. I'm in charge of the yard work all summer, which I really don't mind. I like being outside mowing or planting something. I can usually get it all done while Noah naps in the afternoons too. Every Wednesday I get together with a bunch of friends from church and their kids at different parks. So far we've only had one park day, but it was a blast! Noah was worn out, which is a good thing. Some of the moms from Noah's daycare are coming too. It'll be nice to keep him connected to them during the summer. This Friday Noah and I leave for Iowa. We'll be there until the 29th. Tyler is meeting us at my parents' house next Thursday. We've going there at that time b/c he's in a wedding in NW Iowa. How awesome! Grandma and Grandpa can babysit so we don't have to take him to wedding stuff. The best thing is that Chris is coming with Payton and Addison at the same time! The cousins are going to have such an awesome time together! My parents will then travel out East to bring Chris and the girls home, and they'll stop by Sheboygan for a few days too. I've got a class to take during the time that they're here, so they can watch Noah for me then also. How convenient! I know they won't mind. That's just more time with him.

The weather here was pretty bad last week. We ended up in the basement one night b/c of storms and a tornado in the area. We don't get them that often around here. Tyler spent his time in the breezeway looking out the patio window at everything. Noah and I were safe downstairs. Why do men to that?? We played cards and had snacks before that b/c we lost our satellite signal for the tv. Noah didn't mind, but we wanted to hear weather updates. We also had to keep up with a little leak in the ceiling. Better get that fixed before the next big storm!

Today I was out watering some lilies that I had replanted, and Noah found the hose attached to the house very interesting. Some water sprays out from where the hose is hooked to the spout and he got soaked. He was very upset that his clothes were so wet, so I just stripped him down outside. He had a great time running around in his diaper!

Another diaper shot:

Noah can now go DOWN the stairs too!

Outside Fun!

The weather was so great this past weekend! Not too hot, not too cold. Tyler got Noah's swing hung in the tree, so we had some great fun with that. Noah would swing all day if he could.

He does a very good job getting ready too. He'll climb right up on the bench to get his shoes on so he can mow the lawn. What a good guy!

We also have a "dirt box" that he likes to play in. Tyler doesn't want a sand box, but we have an old flower bed that never grows flowers. I just got some sand toys and Noah goes crazy in it! He doesn't even get that dirty either!

Summer starts on Friday for me! School is out at noon on that day. Can't wait! A whole summer of outside fun!
